Mother Hood

38×48 in. mixed media on paper, 2018

My largest and most personal drawing about the similarities between my mom and grandma's pregnancies as teens. This piece speaks on the struggles of life in the 80s and 90s, growing up in BedStuy, Brooklyn and how these 2 strong black women prevailed.
